Hi, my name is Anna Byun and I am an 8th grader attending Stratford Preparatory. I think light pollution is an environmental problem that most people don't talk about. The bright lights from urban areas affect day-night cycles of animals. For example, baby sea turtles find the ocean by following the natural horizon, and artificial lights from beachfront cities can cause unnecessary exhaustion. Because of this, the sea population has been decreasing. This really shatters my heart since humans sometimes don't know that they are hurting animals. Therefore, we can step by step remind and teach people about environmental problems and how to prevent them from getting worse.

Hi, my name is Yeeun(Sarah) Park and I’m an eighth grader attending Challenger Middle School. I believe that it is critical for us to understand our global impact and act, particularly for the preservation of the one planet that hosts us and the multitudes of generations to follow. In our day to day lives, there are countless opportunities for us to make small but meaningful choices that help lift the onerous burden on our earth. If everyone consciously chooses to help protect our planet, we can leave earth with fewer irreversible footprints and make it a better world.

 Hello, my name is Ethan Lin, and I go to Dartmouth Middle School. The recent flash flood in Nepal shocked me and made me realize how serious the effects of climate change can be. Extreme weather events like floods can be made worse by a warming planet. I believe we should all do our best to protect our planet and take action to reduce climate change. A little goes a long way.

Hello, I am Steven Park and I am currently an 8th grader at Harker  School. I believe that protecting the environment starts with small actions and, more importantly, with awareness. Climate change and pollution continue to affect our planet and countless living things, but I believe that we can make a difference when people come together and take action. I want to join this organization to learn more about environmental issues, raise awareness, and make a meaningful contribution through volunteer work. Even small efforts can create change when we work together, and I hope to be part of that change and help create a healthier and more sustainable future.

Our planet, as we know it today, is being affected by various factors such as deforestation, fossil fuel consumption, and methane emissions. Despite these challenges, I am convinced that we can work together as a community to reduce the deterioration of our planet. We can all do our part to help protect the Earth by reducing pollution, recycling plastics, and making environmentally responsible choices. The Roman poet Ovid once wrote, “A drop of water hollows a stone, not by force, but by falling often.” We can follow this idea by starting with small steps and working together to create a better future for our planet.

My name is Steven, and I am an 8th grader at Redwood Middle School. I believe that the way people treat nature has a huge impact on the future of our planet. Every day, forests are being cut down, animals are losing their homes, trash and pollution are harming the environment, and many species are becoming endangered. I think these issues deserve more attention because ignoring them will only make them worse. Through Let Nature Sing, I want to help people recognize the importance of nature and understand that protecting the environment is something everyone can contribute to. By becoming more aware of our actions and making better choices, we can help keep the Earth healthy for generations to come.

Hello, my name is Junhee Yu, and I am an 8th grader at Kennedy Middle School. As I grew, it became more evident to me that our planet is polluted and not respected. Even at school, trash can be found everywhere, on the benches, on the basketball courts, and even in classrooms. Earth is becoming more and more dirty as time goes on, and it depends on us for our planet to change. This idea inspired me to learn more about our nature through joining the Let Nature Sing program. By using music, I hope that I can make at least a tiny bit of positive change to our planet.a

Hi! My name is Yuni Lee, and I am currently an eighth grader attending the Nueva School. Even as a kid, I've always adored nature and the outdoors, so the fact that we live in such a polluted world that is continuously neglected by many people is something that always makes me sad. Because of this, I want to continue to make others aware of how we are impacting our environment, and continue to spread more hope for the future of not only our community, but the world in general.
